What is created
Following on from Yahndawa’, which had sparked several collaborative projects, The alliance gave rise to encounters and meetings, workshops and events designed to stimulate essential reflection and conversations. Over time though, we felt a growing desire to return to creativity as a catalyst for bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists together. To keep this website alive and to continue building and nurturing relationships, this section will feature works—whether new or not—presented in dialogue, just as their creators were brought together.
For each pair, we invited one of the two artists, suggesting they invite another artist to collaborate. For us, this was an opportunity to rekindle encounters that had already sparked wonderful conversations, and also, through them, to reach new people for whom the spirit of the Alliance might resonate.
