To celebrate the solstice and bring the past year of work and reflection to a close, we gathered for a festive picnic on the banks of the Akiawenhrahk River. For us, moments like these are also part of the alliance. Before public discussions and film screenings, this project is rooted in relationships. It is crucial to nurture them, particularly by creating moments like this one. While the alliance was founded on a shared desire to reach out to one another, events like this encourage us to continue doing so over time.
During the picnic, a preliminary draft of this digital publication was presented to those in attendance.
As during our retreats, sharing food is central to this type of event. Everyone brought something to share. It is another way of caring for one another.
