Onyiondih. We have created something
Event, Wendake (Kondiaronk Hall and Parc
de la Falaise)
October 1, 2022
The Onyiondih event, part of Yahndawa’, was held in Wendake in the form of an artistic day of sharing and encounters. The event took place in the Kondiaronk Hall, the same location where the first workshop was held in June 2021.
The day began with an opening song performed by Teharihulen, followed by a story from Yahndawa’ shared in the form of a conversation between Guy and Anne-Marie P. Works by Nicolas, Alexis, Manon, France, and Anne-Marie B were displayed in the room. The audience was then invited to go to Parc de la Falaise, near Kabir Kouba Falls, to watch performances by Annie, Phile, Andrée, and Alain-Martin. Back at the Kondiaronk Hall, Dgino and Aïcha shared their experiences of their encounter and the resulting creation, and Nicolas also presented his animated film Onyionhwentsïio’. The evening continued around a large table where we enjoyed sagamité and bannock, with music and video projections by DJ William C. Wikcemna Yamni Sam Wanzi.
